Heart of Thorns
In darkness she wept
Im my arms she slept
In faith we fell
Where trust was kept.

I sent her my promise
She sent me her dreams.
In truth we know
Love isn't what it seems.

I gave her a dagger
To ward off her foes.
In time wounds heal,
But the pain still grows

Twisting this dagger
She smiles as she waits.
The essense of life
Fades with my fate.

No better pain
Can a man endure
Than the laughter she makes
As death draws near.

I entered her heart
T'was warm and alive.
Once caught inside,
I felt the touch of her knife.

Blackened with evil,
She drained all I was.
A souless woman
She exists for this cause.

My soul feels cold
My lifeless dreams are spent
I ask You to forgive her
Inspite her intent.

I drift in darkness now.
I die by her scorns.
A grave I request
In her heart of thorns.
